I don't think it's about being phased or offended, i think it's more about how this is ultimately a work forum and thread. Of course work is slow at night and things will be more offtopic than not, but there's a certain level of poise that can be maintained. Imagine a req coming here and seeing those as the first few pages. Knowing they're trusting these people with their work and research.

Chris has done a damn incredible job of making this not turn into a flaming trash pile like MTG, but I'm sure it's getting more difficult to walk the line between free rein to let people shoot themselves in the foot by making themselves look like an ash hole, and running a tightly moderated ship which unfortunately means babysitting grownass adults at all hours. I'm sure he'll pull the plug before it gets to the latter, because we have to remember he's a human being with a complete life offline and this shit isn't his job.

LOL.. I've been on the internet since dialup, I've seen it all, that doesn't mean I want to see it here. I know there's sometimes a fine line between NSF thread and just plain not suitable for normal eyeballs to see.. fisting a turkey crosses that line.. and like 4 other gifs I just deleted. A lot of it is intent - which I admit is sometimes hard to judge on the Internet but in these cases its just straight "shock jock" garbage.

Dude will you give it a rest. PUT HIM ON IGNORE. Do you remember what you were like at 20 years old? Maybe you were suave as James Bond but I was a gigantic jackass. RA's worst offenses are generally being too opinionated on a certain method/topic (and thinking quite a few decent HITs are underpaid hahaha). Big fracking deal, for the most part his heart is in the right place and month over month he has been in the most appreciated/helpful statistical categories for this site. And not just because of sheer volume (well maybe a little bit.. jesus christ RA you have over 10k posts LOL) but mostly because overall the dude really does help people. He'll grow up and end up more nuanced in his opinions/suggestions (uh, hopefully, maybe, or he'll be a millionaire somehow and wont have to give a shit) without folks taking pot shots at a kid (relatively speaking.. just saying I was dumb as shit at his age so lets cut an overall good dude a break).

I like you, but the hate is too much. No one needs that in their life.

This month I tried to throttle how much I LOL posts.....it has not gone well.

I posted a few things trying to bring it back to a normal level to no avail. So, I gave up and signed out. Was not a great start for Randomacts thread and Easter morning.

 

Chill, we can all be assholey at times, sometimes it is not meant towards others, and sometimes it can be, and everyone is different especially when in their early to late 20s, especially with opinions, and sometimes as they get older those opinions change, I have been pretty much the same most of my life, but I have had a number of my opinions change from the time I was 20 til now, It's called a growing process... But one thing I refuse to do is grow up all the way *insert Peter Pan syndrome here*
