Oh! Surgery update: I'm home from the hospital. Discovered that the 11 year old neighbor girl my dad and step-mother pay to do odd job housework and whatnot found my cash jar and stole $200, as well as an envelope containing her own pay.

 

That's an awkward conversation to have with her parents for sure. 11 year olds aren't exactly known for thinking things through, though.

Her dad is in prison and her mother lost custody. She bounces from family member to family member and most definitely needs a therapist. None of the neighbors have seen her wandering around for about a week, so she might not be with her grandma anymore.
