There isn't really any good site for batches right now so if yours looks good I honestly think that you might get some people to upload work there, as long as it feels low stakes. if someone actually does contact you about uploading work maybe you could point out that they don't need to suddenly put 100k hits up, they can just try it out with a small batch first to see how it goes?

 

Finally did.

 

I did a HIT successfully a couple of hours ago, then tried one just now (Ben Peterson), and got this message: "www.mturk.com refused to connect." Guess that earlier HIT was my last $0.60 from MTurk.

yeah offer to let the requesters do sandbox stuff on there for now. if they want to go live, let them go live with batch hits for free with only 1 batch that will expire in 1 hour or 12 hours or something.

all the mturk alternatives I've seen are for surveys, they don't work well with batches. yours being hopefully the continuation of mturk would be the place every requester would want to put batches.

 

I just submitted a CSAT...feels like I made it thru a yellow light the second it turned red

I think so, but screenshot just in case. Those hamsters are working overtime, and might get tired and crap out. According to the closure FAQ at https://www.mturk.com/help :

"How long will I be able to access my transaction history?
Your transaction history will remain available until January 28, 2027."

We'll see.

 

It is borking submissions, the exact same way that it happened with the ugly banner, meaning that it would show up sporadically, then all of a sudden right before 3 am est it became permanent.
