09/30 - Well, Where is it? Wednesday

I tried going back thru every day on my dashboard to find possible requesters to show Aboundly to but every day was just CSATS...STR...CSATS...STR...lol. I did send them a message though.

Anyone ever work for Cognitive Development? aka the people who strap a camera to a baby's head and then showed you the screencaps and asked you if the baby touched grass that day? I had emailed them awhile back because every now and then they'd show up and drop $100 into my dashboard...really hoping they ever email me back.

 

I'm not telling you to complain very loudly, but I am also not not telling you to organize a full on boycott revolt in any theoretical corporate approved communication channels that may or may not be monitored by former-or-current registered users of this fine, upstanding, reputable MTurk review service.

per that corporate-approved communication channel, they are aware of Aboundly but needed an immediate solution. All the conversations over the last month indicate that they are open to other solutions besides Clickworker if they find a better solution, so hoping Clickworker is just a temporary parking spot

 

it's happening early on my end, guys. Submission button is giving me 'mturk is closed" multiple times.

 

I missed it the last time they posted a batch like a month ago or whatever it was

it was before the shutdown announcement so didn't think it would be the last time ever at the time RIP

 

Hit refresh after you get that message and your hit will still be in your queue and able to be worked on. they're half-assing this.

Looks like the end. Thanks to all the kind people in this forum (where I mostly lurked) who were a great help when I was finding my footing. I came to MTurk late but was around long enough to experience the tail-end of those good Noah Turk batches (that were sometimes broken), PickFu, Shop By Interest, and MLDataLabeler were for pennies that added up. Some of the work was mindless but some of it actually helped me build some skills. There was a requester who wanted people to identify solar panels on roof and a requestor who wanted you to identify planes on airstrips (same requestor?). Those were fun.
I'm grateful for finding this forum. I somehow managed 10 rejections and 130,359 approvals. Can I have masters now?

if the janitor has a sense of humor maybe they'll give out masters to a bunch of people right before they unplug the server

 

For me mturk kept the lights on. Some of those closed qualifications i had really paid well over the years.
