People were posting on reddit that the tool is bullshit. People were putting their information multiple times from different devices and getting different answers. I'd steer clear of their website and company completely.

 

If you have had a credit card, bank account, cell phone plan, or any type of loan.. You are 99% likely to be affected.

 

This too. Saw on Twitter they people were entering random numbers and it was spitting out different results each time.

No, this is not him. If it were him, he would take the whole plate, eat just one of them, then say "meh, not good", then throw the rest to somewhere, some time so that we cannot find them.

 

I still refused, I have no trust for them after they fucked my data up already.

You can freeze your credit, you can put an extra pin on your credit stuff if someone uses your info.I checked my credit a couple times and someone opened an account with my info recently, and I called to say, "hey, not me folks."

Stay aware my dudes!

 

The only thing that works really at this point is putting a freeze on your credit to all 3 credit bureaus.

So, if I need to use my credit report to apply for housing in a month, should I freeze it..?

I use CreditKarma and they email me when there are any changes to my report. It's free and easy to use, they'll email you if there's an inquiry into your credit which companies do when you apply for a new card/loan.

Fraud alerts and being aware work too, that's how I noticed.

THIS. Credit Karma e-mailed me when a rando place made an inquiry. Had to freeze my fucking credit, which is not IDEAL when moving across the country.
