02/06 - Mixing Up Monday!

Just my two cents....don't mind the good natured banter about anything (sex, drugs, rock and roll whatever) but the usually daily random insult comments directed at Republicans, Christians, Southerners etc. I find annoying.

WOW that is legal highway robbery!!! My Sister has a car unlocking business (although she doesn't make keys) and she has a flat rate of $45 per unlock with the following exceptions: A Pet or Child or "Infirm" Adult (Alzheimer's, Aspergers, etc. comes to mind) that is locked in a car is a FREE UNLOCK on any day/night of the week 24/7. She refers her calls to a different unlocking company when folks needs keys. I don't remember what she told me he charges...

 

The ABC stores are the only ones you can get liquor from cause there are wonky laws about selling beer/wine and liquor under the same roof in SC. Total wine has two entrances with two stores essentially to sell liquor on one side and the beer/wine on another.

I've never seen insults directed at any of those groups. A couple jokes, but some of the most active members are all of the above and would certainly say if they felt attacked on the daily basis.

 

Yeah, I was kind of pissed about it but I contacted multiple companies and no one was answering... they answered and said they could be out that day and they came so I went with it. I needed the keys to get to work so I felt like I had to bite the bullet. Sucks, but oh well... I have a spare key now.

 

Oh god I forgot about ABC stores from when I used to live in Florida. Those places are booze nirvana.

 

I think I insult myself more than anyone else so I'm safe on this issue

I find 95% of your posts hilarious. Every once in a blue moon I'm like "whoa, that went too far." And do you know what I do when that happens? I move on to the next post because I'm an adult and what you do to your soon-to-be-hubby's butthole doesn't really have an effect on my day.

If I was the easily offended type, I'd probably just turn on work mode (..if it was still there, I should really get on that). Or put you on my blacklist (..if it was still there). Or use any of the dozen or so tools that could help mold the daily thread into what I want it to be.

My one and only true concern is downright illegal content, because it crosses a line that can't be uncrossed and for which some argumentative types would hold me accountable for. I think its just disrespectful to post that kind of stuff because I'm going to be the one getting angry letters about "OMG YOU PROMOTE PEOPLE DOING THIS ON MTURK!" And yes, that has happened already. More than once. Some people cannot seem to grasp the difference, or the larger picture at hand, and thus this discussion will reoccur ad nauseum at a later date I have no doubt. Even politely asking to tone it down results in "DON'T REGULATE MY FUCKING LIFE, BRO."

Everything else is just general respect for fellow human beings, counter-balanced with the inability to please everyone in life.
