a) I hope you're kidding about her leaving you over a ring - you deserve better if that's the case
b) ask around your family and her's someone may have a diamond sitting around, maybe it was a set of earrings and they lost one or inherited a ring they don't like, and then you can go to a jeweler and just get a band made to fit the rock. The diamond is the most expensive part after all.

And if she want's the silver look - check out palladium, it's stronger than platinum, completely hypoallergenic, and doesn't interact with other metals, and doesn't need to be replated like white gold does. And it's 1/3 the cost of platinum! (I think it's only a little more expensive than white gold).

 

Aye, perhaps, but that particular move might have caused me to have to move to a different place to live for the interim and in my physical state that is not a viable alternative. LOL ... I had just paid close to $3000 to have everything moved from my home that was "deconstructed" in an earthquake so moving again was not "viable"
