I mean it's only as hard as you make it, I'm taking a very long time get proficient at it because I have a full time job, a house full of animals, extended family living with me, and taking care of a loved one with health issues.

I'd say if someone had the gumption (and work ethic) they could easily learn enough javascript to make their own scraper in 2-3 months
