This is why I am so glad I have a dashcam. I was stopped in the travel lane of the parking lot and woman backed out into me. Dashcam proved I was stopped, and I had ZERO issues with her insurance paying out.

 

Unfortunately. The best part of that situation? She got a $3900 payout on a 2001-2002 van and when the insurance company sold the car, they only made............. $275! So god only knows what my rate will go up to after losing my good driving discount and the surcharge on that magical payout. I already quoted out to different companies and I'm hoping my rate will stay under the offers, otherwise I will have to deal with the hassle of switching. Nine years of driving, four years of that with this specific carrier and the best they could do for me on my very first accident was "If the payout was $750 or less, we would have waived the claim."

Where in the world can you get your car fixed for any type of damage under $750?
