03/17 - Frosted Friday!

Kakariko villiage has an obvious slowdown when I'm playing but you're only running through there for upgrades after the beginning of the game. Pretty much everywhere else I get solid framerates. It really runs decently, I can't recall a single time I felt system performance affect me during an enemy encounter.

This isn't a matter of opinion. From a technical standpoint 30fps isn't acceptable anyways... and they are using double v-sync... seriously wtf...

The frame timings are pretty bad as well at points.



The game does run slightly better on tablet mode though so if you have been playing that way you might have not noticed it doing nearly as poorly.

But even on tablet mode it runs at 30fps so

Yes I haven't played it myself. But Digital Foundry is a respected outlet and anyone worth their salt has confirmed that what digital foundry found was true.

 

Do I HAVE to find her. I mean.. can i just leave her wherever? Maybe in the same well as Samara from the Ring?

Gyro controls only. The entire game the Wii U screen is black with text that says something like *Touch here to play on gamepad screen* I can report in and say that BoTW at 480p on the gamepad screen is...........acceptable..... but good for pooping. There used to be map and inventory during development (You can see videos of it from the announcement) but Aonuma decided that it 'took away from the experience.' I'd rather play in pro HUD mode and have a map on the gamepad but it's fine. No complaints.

 

@turk_it Trying to convince people who care more about specs than playing the games is like trying to convince someone who only watches subbed anime that dubs are good too. Just aint happening.
