    It absorbs the seasoning more and more easily if you have stale bread so I stale them faster by putting them in the oven at 300 degrees for around 20 minutes since I makes loaves just for croutons :emoji_wink:

    Croutons are my fave in between workouts snack! I dont even eat salad. Just my crunchy bread cubes nom nom nom. When I was a kid and a waiter would be like, "soup or salad?" I would reply, "a bowl of croutons, please!" They always thought I was joking and to this day I am not. :emoji_imp:

    I keep one of those cereal tupperware containers filled with croutons in the pantry for snacking. It's great for portioning it out. Matt eats so many, I usually have to do a batch (about 2 loaves of bread) every weekend or so.

    Scraggles sleep update. We are now approaching hour 7 of barely moving, and he is now covering his face from the overcast sun. This is the life of an old senior streetcat. I'm only shocked he's been in the same spot this long because he usually Grinches at me for lunch by now. such a hard life!
