    As a mom who found out 6 months in to a pregnancy that my child had ARPKD, I have so many mixed feelings on this. It is such a hard decision with pro's and con's either way. I think personally, the sooner information can be found out, the better. Decisions can become so much harder as time passes. That being said, unless you know how you would handle each of these situations, knowing would simply add so much stress. I had no amniotic fluid, that is why further investigations were done. We had no family history that we knew of, so no clue that we should be looking for anything, that only became an option in our other pregnancies. Such a delicate thing.
