IF you were willing to put up fresh concrete, then you could do a stamp over it (stamped concrete). It winds up looking really cool, depending on the stamping style you pick out.



Another idea would be to use ceramic tiles. Pick your tiles out, whether you want to swap colors back and forth or create a display with them, but that's another idea. In the photo, it shows they took their tiles and laid them differently than what's typical.
