I never did want to, to be honest. But in the late 1990s I was traveling a bit on business and was asked to visit Pennsylvania for a few months. (I said "not a chance" because it was Christmas and they asked me the day after I returned from two months spent living in a hotel room in Australia. They talked me into it.) I met a girl, we fell in love, etc.

We lived for a while in NZ before moving back to USA, and it was a hard decision, but ultimately one which made sense for a number of reasons. The biggest part of the decision was to do with family.

 

I've got the spinning qualtrics circle of death, apparently.
