You may have seen my ridiculous whining comment yesterday, about my prior attempts to do the one-minute UserBob site-testing HITs.

(That was NEVER meant to complain about the good requester and the HITs themselves. They are great.)

I was only whining about MY pathetic self-conscious aversion to speaking spontaneously about sites I haven't seen before.

The obvious solution is to first do a couple of "practice runs", BEFORE I make the final recording to submit.

Now I see how easy it is to do that. — I see that the target site's name is clearly listed on the first page of the HIT (in a small font, on the right-side of the Instructions heading). So I can easily visit the site and do my "practice runs", BEFORE starting the final recording procedure. — (Also, even after the 'final' recording procedure, before submitting I can close the recording window and go back to the HIT page and click the start-link again to do it over.)

My insomniac brain should've figured all that out before I posted my stupid comment.

The problem with this is that you're no longer giving your legit first impression of the site, which is the entire point of the HITs

 

I think that's fine as long as you aren't changing what you say between your recordings. The point isn't to be analytical, it's to get your uninhibited response as you view it.
