My whole upstairs is wood floors that the previous owner put royal blue carpet on. I am too lazy to redo the floors and like the kitschy carpet

 

Pretty sure they are white pine, with some heartwood in there. So softwood. Otherwise I probably would have been done a couple days ago but I didn't want to sand through them so had to start with a finer grit. Should be done with sanding today though.

Pine was pretty popular for flooring in the late 1800 and early 1900s.

 

A James Billings survey informed me I'm to receive diapers in the mail shortly, from FedEx.. hot dog!

 

damn that's a super early cucumber. start it indoors?

Don't do it yourself. My wife and I have done tons of building and home stuff and thought this would be like a day or two job. Holy shit, this was way more work than we imagined. If you ever decide to do it, hire some one.
