    You can absolutely make that comparison if you'd like to. Objectively the only functional difference is the amount earned.

    Yeah, I realized after I posted I was wrong. Non-US residents is more accurate. Others were talking about Prolific, which pays out to paypal, so the non US peeps can get paid more easily than on mturk.
