I am glad that we are in agreement that coyotes have literally attacked an adult at least once

Damn. Grandma taught me to season on the stove top. With bacon grease. (She's from the south, everything included the bacon grease that was stored in a can next to the stove.) I'm baking (minus the bacon) from now on!

Also, I just popped up over $16K total earned. So my pathetic hit numbers equal rounded .33 per hit. I'm ok with that.

I'm also ok with that number as my entire goal when I started part time turking was a mere $200/month and I've beaten that handily.

 

Thank you that is what i do. My coating is pretty even. When winter comes i plan on taking the entire coating off and re seasoning the pan.

Yeah, but when I'm comparing to ethical violations between academics & "other professions" I think of stuff like doctors, lawyers, etc who almost universally have a 3rd party governing board at multiple levels of government/etc. Despite the schooling, there is no license to do research that I've found to be revoked. Attempting to go after the funding source, depending on where it is, is also a nightmare FYI and some - despite having clearly laid out ethical policies - do not reply to inquiries from outside parties. 10x fold for publications/journals. And I haven't yet tried a conference but it's on the roadmap!

Your recourse against an academic sits squarely at the University they're paid by (..which is a disgusting conflict of interest comparatively) - and if they have tenure, just lolworthy.

I have absolutely no clue what this particular convo is about but seeing the back/forth go by while I whine like a spoiled brat about academics to @tricker and some other folks are discussing snacks is freaking hilarious
