Spent an hour on that $6 McDermott hit before my laptop crashed. lol ... I really need to invest in a new laptop.

Never should've started that hit. I was glad to return it.

For at least 50% of those sound clips, I had zero confidence in my guess about microphone distance. — Sorry but I hate to submit meaningless guesswork (even when guesswork is part of the experiment).

A few of those sound clips gave conflicting distance clues. One sounded distant in the first half and had an impulse noise near the end that sounded much closer. — So, what single distance guess am I supposed to give for that?? The far one? The near one? An average of the two? lol

Several of those clips were repeated much later in the survey — so I had to spend additional time going back to find the previous ones to ensure that my guesses were consistent! — Sorry but I hate to submit inconsistent data (even if some expected inconsistency is part of the experiment).

With that type of experiment, I just don't feel that my input is very valuable at all. — For >50% of the survey, if my best effort is only marginally better than random responses, I just don't see the point.

Nice! — I'll be curious to read further reviews of that hit to see what the average completion time will be. 16m is quite good.

Being the world's slowest turker, I spent nearly an hour on that hit (before my laptop crashed near the end).
