    The river/creek/whatever I live on is several miles long. And the mouth of it is a town that damed the creek to create a lake. They decided to release the water from the lake to make repairs to the dam over the winter. At the same time they released the water, they got 14 inches of rain in less than a week. It all came to me.

    One, that sucks and I hope the damage is very limited. Two, use this as an excuse to put up a fortification around your house, complete with turrets and maybe some siege weapons.

    On a good note. There's an empty lot up the creek a bit with only chickens there. I have no idea who's chickens they are. But a good Samaritan saved their lives by rigging up a hangout for them

    that sucks so bad. i'm glad it wasn't as bad as it could have been, but it's still awful. i hope there's no major damage once it all clears out.

    Thankfully it's not nearly as bad for me as others in the area. There's neighborhoods that are completely under, roads closed and what not. Some of them either can't leave or go back home for another week or so

    I don't think the army corps of engineers would take kindly to altering the waterways. I have to apply for a permit and go through paperwork and shit just to build a dock
