That makes me so sad to read. I knew about xylitol and since I have 4 dogs I keep that stuff out of the house however I never realized it comes in some peanut butters and I do use it to give medicine to them. I appreciate the warning and I will actually go check my peanut butters right now. Thank you so much for sharing, I know it must be hard.

Exactly, I just happened to use a jar of peanut butter that my son had picked up at the health food store. I will forever be upset with myself over not being more aware. I knew about xylitol, but thought it was limited as an artificial sweetener in candies and such. The more we know!
