    It's like 68 outside...is...is this normal? Is this what people in the outside world call "cool?" Because I don't understand this at all and I'm scared the gods are punishing us or something because not baking instantly when I walk outside is a new and scary experience for me.

    This probably sounds really odd, but he doesn't by chance have an external keyboard on top of the laptop, does he? This happens to me at least once a week if the keyboard shifts and presses the ctrl key. Just throwing it out there even though it's probably not the case here.
