    Just curious what were you doing? I've definitely had to revamp some things w/ my workflow and am just starting to feel like I'm getting back into a level of productivity that is "OK" but that's only on good days honestly

    I also cannot get the same levels out of MTurk I was getting previously outside of the dumb luck causes. Though I still haven't broken any of my boycotts so that probably explains it lmaooo

    Daycare is super expensive or at least it is around here and more expensive and hard to find a good daycare. Another issue for us was that we would rather teach our kid our values and not be in a constant tussle of "Well that's not how Ms./Mrs./Mr Soandso does it." We didn't want the first couple years of our kid's life to be at the pediatrician for illnesses either. Therefore I became the stay at home Dad cutting down on who we are in contact with so if someone is super ill we just don't have a playdate with them for a few and if we are ill we might not go to our music, spanish, or science class that week so we don't get other people's kiddos sick. I also get more control over his diet and such and also what media and lessons he is exposed to. I realize I am more privileged than most though and consider myself lucky we are able to raise our kid this way. We just didn't feel like paying someone to raise our kid maybe without our values in mind (outside playtime is big for us). Mind you we aren't like super strict or prude but we just didn't want our kids view of the world to be super skewed in one way or another.

    A lot of this comes from starting college in the Ed dept. and my wife was a teacher and taught everything from Pre-K up to 8th grade with Special Ed. and Montessori classrooms as well. So we had a little more info and experience with childcare and development going into parenthood, and this was our plan well before we had our kiddo. I'm not completely opposed to the idea of daycare or anything and I wouldn't judge anyone ever for using it, I went to daycare from when I was two until I started school and I came out OK (I think), this is just what we found best for our kid.

    Dunno there's my word vomit for the day, time to get the kiddo up from nap :lol:

    Absolutely. We tailgated before the show which felt so cool at that age lol, then I stood on my little folding chair on the field all night and danced like your average little white girl, and then talked about it for weeks (and apparently years lol). Perfect first concert.

    We saw the Voodoo Lounge Tour in Philly in 94 I was 19 we took my father in-laws car without telling him and were panicking because a news crew kept pointing their camera at our car and we were convinced he would see it.
