Tell her she can have it reversed by calling amazon directly. that is the last resort when requesters can't get things done on their own. It worked for me.

it was more of a joke lol. I wouldn't do this unless the requester is a complete a-hole.

 

The requester should be able to find that if they looked for it. I am not a requester and don't have access to their requester dashboard or info unfortunately. I'd look for it myself but can't right now (queue)

The requester who reversed my rejection after claiming she could not, had no trouble finding the phone number after I contacted her IRB.

 

I've only done it once before. After the initial message I'll give them like 3 days to reply, then I'll send another. If I don't get a reply by a week then I bring out the IRB notice. The only time I've done it, they replied and gave my case a "second look" and actually reversed it, lol.

I only did it in this case where the requester was blatantly wrong about the reason for rejecting.

The only time I've gone direct to IRB is when a certain University of Michigan researcher accused me of not being black so I could take her garbage $4/hr survey. It's kind of a last resort, most of the time requesters are pretty reasonable and most rejections are mistakes on their end. Plus, if they reject all their hits, you can usually rely on the Reddit brigade to get a reversal soon enough.

 

There isn't a phone # for mturk, maybe if multiple emails fail but for the most part the only contact info you'll ever find on the requester end is a handful of different email endpoints.

There's probably a phone number, it's just not publicly disclosed on the requester dashboard. The one guy who is doing everything at MTurk doesn't like to answer phone calls.
