I've always wondered if there really is a successful business practice where this sort of thing actually works in the long run.
It reminds me of people in high school who used to say "Hey! What do you care if you get slapped a few times? Just keep going up to girls and say "Why don't we go somewhere and bleep?" It'll happen more often than you think! (I never did it, but it makes me wonder.)
