Thanks for letting me know! I have over a year to plan this so I'm gathering all the info I can. I plan on staying in Downtown DC so we can walk to most places but sometimes it is nice to get a ride, or hop mass transit. I'm a huge fan of mass transit to tell the truth! +1 vote for the DC trains. Best of any city in the country. They have a stop at National and will take you to all the sites you want to see.

 

The only problem is that they don't service Georgetown. You have to walk over the bridge.

I'm used to sucky train systems. The system in the San Francisco Bay Area is piss poor. It was horridly planned, promised expansions never happened, the trains are full of grossness and...well...it's not awesome. Used it daily for nearly a decade because I was not driving into San Francisco. Even now when we go we take BART in because I hate driving in SF. And once in SF we take the equally as piss poor MUNI system that is in The City.

So it might be nice to show Kiddo a nice Metro system, lol!
