i'd like to point out again, that angry @ChrisTurk is the best version of @ChrisTurk.

 

They know exactly what they're doing. TO has let them essentially steal millions in free work by letting them completely take all the data and use it for their "research"

They did it to TV, and I've been raising absolute shit storms since because it's bullshit. I guarantee you this will continue to get worse and worse from them and eventually they'll just rip it off entirely and release a tool that "helps" workers by letting them data mine them.

Oh wait, they already did that. And abused their position as educators in their university to force their students to fraudulently review the tools in the chrome store to increase visibility.

It's not blind stupidity, it's just a preference to the org that will continue letting them commercialize their jobs because - holy shit y'all - people who work need to be paid for it to actually eat & continue working. Novel idea that gets totally fucked when your "work" can just be stealing shit from other people to justify the $2,500,000 in grants from the NSF.
