This is also true, it's no different than companies that absolutely don't want people working from home for 2 reasons. 1 somehow if they can't see you they don't think you are working and 2 now that that cat is out of the bag they are going to have a really hard time telling people working from home isn't an option for a ton of jobs.

I remember that time he escaped....

 

I have the same problem. We do a lot of number crunching on supercomputers, so some work must be done on site. But, they won't network thost computers for remote access, so we have to be on site to control them. If we had a way of logging into them, it would be easy to do half my job from home.

Now that they have no choice, turns out they can network those machines and we did that last week. Now they just have to figure out the scheduler so multiple departments aren't trying to run stuff at the same time.

 

The bot would rather you forget the time he lost Bearnie and there was a hurricane.

How large was the argument that occured when this happened....I'm constantly on my kids asses about not letting the cats out so I would lose my shit if it happened.

 

Well, he opened a window without a screen and all 3 cats actually left at once (mostly from confusion), the other 2 were just easier to wrangle and Bearnie had a meltdown. So...pretty big. And thus, I have the kitchenaid fridge I wanted.

The absolute worst part was that he kept coming back home! He just wouldn't stay long enough for us to notice and would get spooked and go hide again! I ended up live trapping him like a foot from the door.



We did find out he was living in couple neighbor's sheds and was stealing food from outdoor cats haha. Matt lost him again not that long ago, but he came back within the hour- luckily for Matt.

 

Wow...so either he's good at escaping or Matt is not good at remembering to shut things...which is it....
