Today Kiddo and I went and picked up the free food they're hand out for students outside of some schools. This program is funded as "need based" and some people are worrying that if parents of kids who really need this food can't get there every day that the need might seem as "less" than it is and told those of us who don't truly "need" the food to go pick up once or twice a week so the program stays funded.

I have to say I'm impressed with how hard they're trying to give these kids healthy as possible foods. And if I was a kid who was food insecure, the amount of food in that bag would have made me feel loads better. They hand out breakfast and lunch every day.

It's free to any kid under the age of 18. Don't even have to be old enough to be a student, which I think is freaking awesome.

And speaking of food. I always host Easter at my house and make a few special dishes. This year I'm still making them and for the two families that normally come for Easter and live near me, Kiddo and I will be doing a safe food drop off on Saturday probably so everyone can still partake of my famous Easter foods My mom is really looking forward to seeing her grandson from afar as she misses him!
