When I was in labor with my first and in terrible pain I put this movie on to distract me.

My mother had never seen a Kevin Smith movie and was appalled at the language and content of this movie. Made me turn it off. While I was trying my best to force a human out of my body, she wouldn't let me watch this movie.

Now I want to watch it, too.

 

Did I watch this the whole way through?? Yes. Yes, I did.

My variation on this concept is that when I was a little kid in New York City, I found out that I apparently
sounded like I was from Chicago. (Great hot dogs! I'm still reasonably 'loyal' to the ones from New York,
but I have to be honest and give them 4 stars. Chicago gets a 5 on this particular score!)
Wait! Where was/am I?
Oh yeah! The words involved were "Merry", "Marry", and "Mary". I pronounced them identically.
To this day I have no idea how a New Yorker is supposed to pronounce these. I say "Merry Christmas!"
the way I think most English-speaking do, but apparently some places pronounce "Marry" with an "A"
sound that's similar to the noise a goat makes. But without the 'vibrato'. And the 'name' gets said like
the month of May-ry.
