its honestly not that bad for $6

they are very crunchy, which i didnt mind. taste wise they didnt truly have much of a taste. and no there was a place here that used to make odd foods and there was a section of insect edible items and since i like to try odd things i tried a bunch of them one stop. but um, crickets, grasshoppers, grubs, mealworms and a few others. which at the time i laughed at trying them cause it was basically what i was feeding my then bearded dragon.

Everyone eat your cricket pretzels it may be a rather long event to hunt them down.

Heh. I remember maybe three that had promise. And one that made me think WTAF?

 

I've eaten cricket flour/protein bars from a brand named Chapul and they were great. I tried them because they were on sale, I'd read a bit about cricket protein already so my interest was piqued, and I really couldn't pass on a flavor like 'dark chocolate, coffee, and cayenne'... so I gave it a go - 100% satisfied. While you can't really taste anything 'crickety' because of the other ingredients, I'd happily try just straight-up fried or roasted crickets anytime.
