I did take up jogging four-ish years ago. Ended up with stress fractures in both feet, and now my ankles are messed up as well.

A few years after the stress fractures had pretty much healed, I tripped on a freaking curb, fell hard on my left knee, and now the cartilage is pretty much shot and I wear a ROM knee brace so my leg stays straight when I walk.

TL;DR: Jogging was the first step in my current 'not nearly as mobile as I used to be' woes.

 

I rebooted my machine and everything was back to normal.

Now I get to earn probably around the same amount of money, not have to leave my kiddos, don't have to deal with actual people in the wild, and I have more time to work on my writing.
