    All my dogs are sweethearts but our 150 lb Wolfhound is an absolute doll. It's funny because she is sooo mellow and just a big baby but the first question people ask me out on walks is if she is aggressive and do I need to muzzle her around kids.

    I think they hunted other big game with them too. I have to say my absolute favorite dogs have been my big hounds. Growing up I always had dogs but once I was living on my own I got my first dog of my very own and it was a Norwegian Elkhound that somebody was giving away in the paper. His name was Rocky and was like 7 years old and no one wanted him since he was older. Instant bond I took him home and we were best buds for almost 9 years. Still miss him. He was so fluffy a shedding nightmare in the summer but so much fun to watch him burrow and play in the snow. I know I have some pics of him I'll have to find 'em.
