love that movie. especially the clothes and hair.

 

I haven't seen it since I was a kid but I pre-ordered the 4K release of it that comes out in a couple of months along with Psycho.

I keep copies of pretty much every official file I've had in a lock box, but I've never organized it in a special way. I've certainly never kept lists of accounts or anything like that. Why are we doing that?

On a side note unfortunately from many accounts Tippi Hedren had a terrible experience and was treated pretty badly. I didn't find that out until many years later and was super bummed because of how much I loved the movie. Apparently they told her it would be mechanical birds, but then used real birds instead per her autobiography.

 

Lol - mortgage deed, etc - we definitely put in lock box. That's a great practice!

Re: list of accounts: this is something I wouldn't normally have ever done in my life (heck I'd burn all the receipts, etc) - however if you are in business, an independent contractor, etc, etc you start to get a routine. The amount you can write-off is usually worth the hassle of just saving receipts in folders, putting them in QB's, and then you have a list of accounts, blah, blah, blah. (Disclaimer - not an accountant. Talk to an accountant.)

If you are filing your taxes and have stuff in a box you should be good. (re: see disclaimer above)

 

It is a really interesting and scary plot for a movie. It kind of strikes me as the type of thing that a writer would get from a nightmare they'd had.

Fruit salsa, fish, quinoa, and spiced yogurt didn't really sound like it would go together, but it was pretty delicious. I recommend trying this one if you have similar ingredients in your fridge.

That looks yummy!

Tonight I had leftover baked Portobello mushrooms stuffed with sautéed carrots and kale with a bunch of chevre and breadcrumbs on top. (Husband made the original dish, just to clarify, in case anyone thinks I suddenly started sauté-ing stuff )

 

I'm sure your sautéing skills are great too

That's such an interesting and tasty sounding combo! I'm going to keep that in mind for future food adventures

Lol - my husband is an "adventurous" cook. Sometimes it goes all kinds of wrong though

I think this was his take on "stuffed mushrooms" with giant mushrooms. It was super delicious, so definitely going in the "keep" category hahaha
