shitty batches is what killed my approval rating in the first place. I mainly stick to surveys. I feel like i can't trust the people who post batches.. (well i guess now except for MLDatalabeler)

 

I did a lot of MLData batches to get my numbers up a few months back and attempt to make any money at all before I had things better figured out

MLData was good for getting the higher completed numbers but that was it for me. Among the worst paying hits I've ever done, except for maybe 2 of their batches I did which I have not seen reposted ever. Generally always below 4/hr work - and I was doing full days of them things

 

The hard part of batches is most people won't review the HITs they in them, because they don't want to tip their hand to everyone. You have to get good at judging your speed/ease of hits in the batch and go from there. Most good batches won't have much turkerview data to back it up because of people trying to horde them.

There are also multiple MLData accounts tho like there are with Noah Turk... so maybe there are better MLData batches that I haven't worked. I have seen there are some higher paying hits posted that are always grabbed up pretty quickly like the color all pixels one

Welp just going through some of the MLData profiles and looks like there is a pretty wide ranging payrate on their batches. Some are terrible and some look pretty good. I guess I just rarely caught the good ones. Would be worthwhile to go through and grab keywords for the good ones, setup watchers

 

Yep I added the top 3 to my requester watch list. Good idea

 

I added some keywords and I also added the Req ID with a minimum pay amount since the better ones tend to pay a certain amount

I also went back through my reviews and I guess they generally pay slightly better than I remember, but still overall pretty low.

The other big problem I remember with a lot of their batches - its very dependent on the particular batch. They would post the same batch in groups with different sets of images or whatever, and some sets would be much easier than others for the same hit. Also certain hits I would have to return/skip a large portion of the hits to find workable ones, and of course the time spent doing that is not included in your hourly

The main problem I've seen with good batches is they seem to generally require Masters..

I spent a lot of time monitoring hits for batch work, like entire days staring at hit finder...
