    I have to ask for help when helping my 3rd grader sometimes. My high school junior is on her own. I suggest google or asking her teacher. I'm only going to make that worse. Hers is harder than any class I took in college.

    First round everything to the nearest ten then divide it by 17 and add 3 then multiply that times 20, subtract earth and moon unit, and then multiply that times the square root of your mothers shoe size. And in those simple simple steps we see how in common core 2 + 2 = 4.

    When I was college I did some math tutoring and it was crazy. One on the girls who was in my group was already doing derivatives and integrals and she was a freshman in High School. It was insane.

    Our town "rebelled" and said they were doing away with common core. And apparently just changed the name, while keeping everything else the same. Because we're badasses. So yeah, pretty much.

    But what do I do with the remainder of purple 5/suckit?

    Common core actually makes a lot of sense to me. I wish they had taught it when I was in school. I may have made more use of math. (I mean, i could do it, I just never fully understood what I was solving, especially in calculus, common core probably isn't applicable at that level?)

    I had some militant mom try to explain it to me like its how people do it in their head and its the only way because my precious precious snowflake can't just memorize multiplication tables like the 8 babillion people before her did. I also made the mistake of telling said mom how much I enjoyed the standardized testing when I was in school. I think I saw actual flames lol.
