    Thank you for your ideas. My hospital is UT but I didn't think to see if the school itself offered, so that's another thing I can look into tomorrow, along with some churches. One thing is UT provides free services to people without insurance because they're a nonprofit hospital, so luckily the cost of my actual surgery and medical care isn't an issue. I never expected this whole ride home thing to even be a thing I had to think twice about!

    Also if you don't mind spending $ care.com & similar sites exist and have sections geared toward this w/o being uber/lyft so more likely to have someone able to skirt out of what the hospital is trying to avoid (liability/etc).

    That's good to know. A lot of stuff I found online is generally geared towards older people, but it's probably just because they have the need more often. I now have a few ideas to try calling tomorrow so I feel a lot more at ease than I was feeling an hour ago. I did put an "ad" or whatever on care.com but I have a feeling it'll be harder for me to find someone because I don't know the exact time and when I was looking at profiles, a lot had a minimum amount of hours they wanted, but at least it definitely is an option as a last resort

    I can't believe Maze is Master's now. I wonder what happened? How can people screw up a task that basically doesn't let you screw up?
