    The thing here is the specific "We're down and working on it" message you receive on the MTurk website. When AWS causes issues like this, its generally a different kind of error screen you get - not a template page created by the website but a more generalized error

    Yeah, that's why I was thinking it was a refresh rate. I'm honestly baffled and feel bad for anyone who has to deal with the mturk site doing that to them. We're all here for a reason and that is not helping. :(

    They also have a new sorting feature for displaying available work by reward/time/number available, and the ability to filter out certain requirements

    All that is nice, but jeez... Prolific is so barebones in these features

    Anecdotally: I hammer on the site all day every day, with Hit Forker, Panda Crazy and Panda Crazy Search running all at the same time, and I've only seen the website unavailable thing a handful of times. It seems to affect different people in different ways, or not at all, based on who-knows-what.
