Anyone done the Umbrella Academy one on Prolific? I've been looking at it since yesterday and wndering if it's worth it. I mean, does it pay well. what is the prolific tea cup dude wearing today? I may never know.

Old man story mode: So about three weeks ago, I decided to make my own edibles because my lungs just can't handle it anymore. I learned how to put stuff in the oven to activate it from reading advice on Reddit. When it was done decarbing, I popped a piece in my mouth just to see what it was like. I went outside to do some yard work, and told my wife I didn't feel very well. She knew I made the house stink, but didn't know I consumed anything. I laid down in bed and couldn't stop shaking. I thought I was having a heart attack since my left arm started to go numb. Everything started to fade out, and my vision was getting worse. She asked me if I was "passing"... which still haunts me to this day because I honestly thought I was dying. She called 911 and paramedics showed up to check my vitals. They said everything was fine with me. I eventually threw up and started to feel better. I haven't touched it since. Lesson learned: don't cook with the good stuff.

I haven't done it bc I've never seen that show at all.

 

I've made coconut oil with it in the crockpot several times, thankfully never had those effects. There was this one time I was on mushrooms though, I was already drunk from getting off work from a local brewery, and when I came home to change clothes, I guess the very first thing that I looked at was paisley and so from that moment on, for like a half hour, everything I looked at was whatever color it was but a paisley pattern. I was so screwed up and couldn't tell what anything was because I was just seeing multiple colored paisley patterns. Needless to say, I made myself go to bed, woke up the next day and was fine. But yeah, I can kinda feel your pain. I'll never give up 'shrooms though.

 

@beto also what you're describing sounds exactly like a panic attack. Strong weed can definitely trigger one. I've had a few and have been afraid they were heart attacks but just waited it out due to no health insurance and a general aversion to going to hospital...

I've dived into psychedelics pretty deep and have experienced some pretty heavy stuff, so I'm familiar with those waters

 

It was intriguing in the beginning but less so by the third season. I don't think I really like any of them. So, I might do it but will probably be one of the last five to do so if I do.

 

That's exactly what happened. I didn't want to go to the ER. They sent me a bill for $100 that I thought was reasonable compared to other options. I'm now learning how to live sober for once in my life...it's been hard.

 

Yeah, it really sucks when you think you may be having a heart attack and you just have to wait and see what happens... doesn't exactly help to resolve the panic attack lol. But once you know what a panic attack is, its easier if it happens again. Its extremely common for people to go to the ER while having panic attacks, thinking its a heart attack.

Good luck with the sobriety, its not easy if you've developed a lifetime of triggers
