    I think they do this as like a 'pause' on some people to let others get the work? I've seen a couple posts on their subreddit with others having the same issues.

    Did you ask them? Not that they'd give you a straight answer, but it's worth a try.
    My guess would be you've already done HITs for the requesters they have, since Prolific is the go to place for surveys now. I dunno, maybe they're filtering through MTurk workers.

    did you contact them? when I asked about payouts and actually had over $100 in my account they decided to release paypal payouts to everyone, within a couple of hours. Asking is always more productive than b!tch!ng. feel your pain though. sending good vibes.

    Obviously, they want a worker pool that makes them the most money (demographics researchers want, site usage, possibly reputation ranking or approval rating, etc.). They add workers, and waitlist workers (and probably also delete workers) to achieve this.
