Yes, having qualifications can help a lot. Take every qualification test or HIT that you can reasonably complete as a lot of work comes from having the right qualifications.

I wouldn't believe everything you read on the internet, but there are people who have some good, closed quals that make decent enough money. At the same time though, Mturk is dying. It's unlikely as a new turker that you can attain the level of those who have been doing this for years. Definitely need to diversify into the other platforms.

Thanks so for letting me know that!! I enjoy mturk because at the end of the day, it all adds up... chicken change certainly helps and so glad I found Mtuk. I really wish I had known about this years ago.

 

I wish I hadn't stopped years ago. There used to be regular, fun hits like selecting all of a certain type of image. I used to get bonuses for those. I don't remember why I stopped, but I did so without getting the infamous "Masters" qualification I've heard some requesters still want. Still, I do decent enough if I really work at it; make about $20 every 2 weeks between MTurk and Connect. Good luck to you!

(Edited to correct amount made from $10 a week to $20 between MTurk and Connect). Highest amount recently was $9.69 week of 8/04)

 

That's good to know.. I earn about that much too. I had only really heard about turk back in March... I believe I had seen something about it years ago, but wasn't sure what it really was about. 2-3 years ago, I got really serious about survey taking and came across Mturk.
