after you sign in to mturk, is there a browser that mts does still work on? also, are there any alternatives? probably not on chrome web store but maybe on greasyfork for tampermonky?
I haven't been able to get it working on Chrome, but it still works on Firefox, so there's that. I doubt we'll get it back on Chrome.
Since Chrome updated this morning I can't use MTS, and that would be fine, but I can't find Hit Forker or Panda Crazy in the Chrome store. Are those something I have to add from somewhere else? I've been using MTS so long I can't remember. I do still have Tampermonkey as an extension.
Panda Crazy Max Spoiler https://chromewebstore.google.com/detail/pandacrazy-max/gefompgkggmjbcihdkdbfddhjnnceipm?hl=en-US Hit forker Spoiler https://greasyfork.org/en/scripts/36368-hit-forker
Edit: this workaround no longer works. Spoiler: RIP MTS :( Want to use MTurk Suite in Chrome but it doesn't work anymore and now you're depressed and cry yourself to sleep every night? Here's how you can get it to work again (at least for the time being): Note: This is only for those of you whose MTS doesn't work at all anymore (or you accidentally deleted it). If your MTS still works, don't worry about this for now, just keep using it. Make sure to backup your HIT Tracker data and all those include/block lists in Finder, while you still can. Step 1. Go to chrome://extensions/ and remove MTurk Suite if you still have it installed. Not just disable, but remove. Step 2. Go to chrome://flags/ and in the "Search flags" field at the top of the page paste this (w/o quotes, obviously) - "Allow legacy extension manifest versions", then change that flag from Default to Enabled in the dropdown box. Now search for 3 more flags and change all of them too, but this time from Default to Disabled: Extension Manifest V2 Deprecation Unsupported Stage Extension Manifest V2 Deprecation Disabled Stage Extension Manifest V2 Deprecation Warning Stage You'll get a pop-up at the bottom that says you need to restart Chrome, click "Relaunch". The 4 flags you changed should look like this (notice how three of them are Disabled and one is Enabled): Step 3. Once your Chrome restarts, go to this link (it will start a download, wait for it to finish) - Download link If after it finishes downloading Chrome suddenly says it can't install this extension, that's fine, just click OK and move to the next step. Step 4. Now go to chrome://extensions/ and in the upper right corner toggle Developer Mode ON (if it's not already on). Then open your File Explorer (or Finder if on macOS) and go to the folder where you downloaded that file from the last step (probably your Downloads folder; file name is "IGLBAKFOBMOIJPBIGMLFKLCKOGBEFNLF_3_3_2_0.crx"). Just drag and drop that file from that folder straight into the chrome://extensions/ page in Chrome and then click "Add extension". That should do it. Last tested in Chrome 137.0.7151.69. P.S. If Chrome at some point disables the extension again and gives you the "MTurk Suite was turned off" pop-up, just click "Manage extension" and then re-enable it.
Firefox just took it down on my end, but I don't know if a newer version still works. I've been using a previous edition of MTS because I didn't care for the newer one that was launched several years ago. Sigh. I hoped they would leave it alone.
Don't tell yourself, but my initial post/thread (the actual Thursday) did it's deed yesterday and summoned your lazy ass. Glad to see you (I think)
This is kind of funny, I have an old computer with Windows 7, and Chrome stopped updating at some point because of that. I was able to install MTS from the web store on that old version of Chrome.
I'm using Windows 10, Brave browser, and MTurk Suite still works, no problems. It's still on the chrome store. Not that there are any hits anymore on mturk, lol.
I can't export my HIT Tracker. Still able to use MTS in developer mode, but no dice on ever backing up any new data. I wish you could just drop the extension into ChatGPT and tell it to fix it.
