The whole time I was on the bus, I kept getting the Prolific emails telling me about high paying work available. Now that I'm finally here and can work, crickets... dammit. Hoping something appears soon because I have bills to pay.

 

I had to take a greyhound recently, bc I live in the middle of nowhere, they are so expensive. I always fly when I can its cheap now.

I was originally planning on flying because it would have been the same price and much faster but decided against it because both Philly and BWI had those recent plane incidents and it made me nervous. I really hate buses. I liked them when I was younger but it's a lot harder now that I'm older to sleep the ride away without the help of alcohol. One of the buses I was on had three babies on it who were apparently having a contest to see who could cry the loudest and longest. An hour into it one of the mothers decides to torture us with Baby Shark for what felt like another hour. So happy I'm done with that and now I'm considering maybe flying back this time. It depends though because the prices will probably be higher then because of Spring Break.

 

It is very difficult to qualify for some of these HITs here. I better start doing those tests.

 

Yeah, they are fun if you want to see the sights. But yeah the trips can be long. I liked them more when I was younger. Now I just want to get there.

 

Check out Amtrak. Their coach seating is WAY more comfortable and roomier then even first class on a plane.

And if you have a small carry on, they (Amtrak) don't make you abandon it at the gangway like the airlines are forcing on people these days. I travel for work. Because the laptop shoulder bag after 8 hours of travel can be rough on my back, I specifically bought an under seat rolling laptop bag. The thing is MADE to sit under the seat, and they force me to plane-side check it nearly half the time I am flying in the last year. Yet they let on backpacks that are WAY bigger then my little bag.

I would not care if it was just toiletries and snacks, but my work laptop cannot go into the belly of the plane - many security reasons behind that, one of them HIPAA. So I have to drag my naked laptop and medications through the plane to my seat and figure out how it doesn't become a missile in case of a rough landing that the laptop bag UNDER THE SEAT would have prevented in the first place. Make it make sense.....
