look in the address bar - sometimes some of the surveys mess up and do http without a colon, or enough slashes, and sometimes you can see your completion code in it

 

Situation Normal All Fucked Up

 

I wonder if someone is messing with them, or they just need to upgrade their system.

 

I get those messages a lot, like every couple of weeks, so I just assume they try to improve things and temporarily break something. They always send several updates throughout the day when it happens so they're pretty good about working on their stuff.

It actually says Trump is making cuts to university research studies that are DEI. Okay, that makes a lot more sense.

Less work for us will never make sense. I hope the Universities overseas make up for it. Show me the money, and they can ask all the stupid questions they have.

I don't really support big gov, and universities though. But I do like that I profit off of them atleast.

Much of the time, HITs will undergo a brief review and workers will have their qualification restored shortly thereafter.

However, some workers have their qualification revoked temporarily or permanently. Some reasons for this are as follows:

• Some workers are not considering each trait individually. For example, if they think the person in the photo looks attractive, they might simply select "3/Very 3/Very 3/Very" for all three traits. Instead, they ought to consider, "Does the person look smart in this picture? Does the person look trustworthy?" It is entirely possible to look attractive but not trustworthy, etc.
  
  
• Using the whole range of scores ("0/No" - "3/Very") makes the information nuanced enough to be useful. Some workers stay within a very small window for all photos (e.g. only 1-2 or only 2-3), which diminishes the usefulness of the data because photos that vary in big ways are receiving identical scores. So instead of thinking in terms of "that's a solid 2" or "that's a so-so 2," workers would be best advised to expand to utilize the whole 0-3 range.
  
  
• Workers should leave thoughtful notes only. Some workers leave careless notes, for example giving a photo "0/No"s or "1/Somewhat"s and then saying, "Great photo!" Because this doesn't make sense, it feels as though it came from a robot. Likewise, a worker who is saying "Great smile!" to every smiling person is bound to say this to people whose smiles don't actually look very good. So while it is important to leave notes some of the time (at least 20% is a nice guideline), it's best for workers to leave the notes field blank if they are not truly compelled to say anything about the specific picture.
  
  
• And, of course, if responses appear to be random or unrelated to the photo, if the worker neglects to mark pornography as inappropriate, or any demonstration that a worker hasn't read the instructions will result in a revoked qualification as well.
  

It's important to note that none of the above may apply to your situation, in which case you can simply disregard this message. Your qualification should be restored shortly.

@Sagebrushdan I just grabbed one more of those Minnesota NLP HITs.

 

Cool. I'm working on the Glab-Caltech hits. You just have to make sure all of the images load first, or else you will get an error at the end when trying to submit. But they are pretty good. Also, listening to Peter Schiff on youtube.

 

Are they still up? I don't see them.
