An idle computer actually doesn't use that much power (although my computer isn't always idle) and power is fairly cheap around me.

The heat issue.. now that is actually a real thing that I deal with but once I build my new computer I'll be turning the one in my room off at night ect.

You don't need to spend that much to build a good computer. Although honestly the one that I am planning on building is prob going to be up there lol. I already have the money but I'm waiting for threadripper and vega.

I have 3 tabs. 2 of them have long af timers just to catch stuff that I somehow miss.

 

What part of Of Wonders do you not get? I want to actually have a great ass machine for once.

Personally AMD's threadripper platform is the first time that I have seen something that has felt like a worthwhile upgrade from my i5 2500k that is clocked at 4.8Ghz. It is super overkill for most people's needs but I will be able to use the power.

I mean with a beast machine I can get into proper streaming. I'll have to get new, superior monitors, though. Might turn this tower into a commerce box then.
