I gave my dog her flea and tick med, that is chewable, finely ground up in her flipping $4 a can Hills prescription diet dog food dinner tonight. She won't eat the little chewable cube so I tried this. If she notices this I am going to lose my mind

 

My dog used to be dumb enough to accept his heartworms pills plain, but now I have to put them in peanut butter. Occasionally I'll wrap a piece of cheese or bologna around it to switch things up on him.

I can give her an aspirin in several slices of meat and she will eat the meat and spit the baby aspirin right out. She drives me nuts that way.

Oh, I think the trick is to exploit the fact that dogs like to swallow their food in as big chunks as possible. My dog has a mouth big enough to swallow an entire piece of pizza whole(and nearly give me a heart attack while doing so), so I think peanut butter will work best if you have a small dog who likes peanut butter.

 

There's like two people who post here from GB, I believe.

 

She's a Rottweiler and really doesn't like peanut butter. She is spoiled rotten. But I love her so much
