I love me some Goodwill for the kids, especially her. Well, when I could still hand over clothes that she'd wear (but then my mom stepped in and fed her polo fetish by buying her one in like every color, so there went the cute/dressy stuff. Made me feel better though that it was $3 shirts and $5 dresses that were heading to the back of the closet instead of $20+ ones.

I might need to pick me up a pair sometime. I took my 6 year old to the skating rink for a birthday party a couple months ago (she's never been, it was a disaster lol) and I put some skates on and about near fell on my ass. Felt so weird being on them for the first time in 15 years. I think I had an easier time with rollerblades in the past though.

I went through a flashdance phase, cut the necks of a bunch of sweatshirts (free hand me downs luckily). I thought I was so fucking cool. I was 5. I would wear my off the shoulder, almost down to my knees sweatshirt, some black leggings- thought I was baller.



No joke. This is pre-snipping necklines. I was a weird kid, and yes, always small. This picture is so 90s.

Same here. Heat were actually favored by like 1.5 points though surprisingly.

 

I actually got her one sweater at a goodwill while we were clothes shopping this year, but I don't get to them much because we live in a tiny town and the closest ones are over 45 minutes away. Poshmark is a website isn't it? What is it, like online discount stuff?

 

It took me awhile before I could skate outside the parking lot behind us, and now that I'm trying to wear in these new skates, I feel like I'm back to week one all over again! The skates roll off without me, which apparently is normal? My janky thrift store skates were basically training wheels.

I'm sure you could definitely pick it up again pretty quickly! You probably have a lot more coordination than I do, I'm a klutz. If I didn't have such a low center of gravity, I bet I would wipe out twice as much. It's worth it though, it's seriously so much fun.

 

Poshmark is an online place where people sell second hand clothes, like goodwill, but online!

They also have online thrift stores!
