What is the optimum time for waiting to hear from a requester before grabbing the torch and pitchfork? 48 hours?

 

3 business days. But if its not your first rejection anything beyond the initial "hey can you please overturn this?" is a waste of time.

I have spent more than 40 mins for a $4+$1.5 bonus HIT which did not auto submit itself. So, I was not even able to submit the HIT.

But, according to the TO, this is not her first time having these kind of issues. She is a PhD student at Princeton so I can write an email to her adviser or department DGS. Or is it too much?
