I think that intentionally boxing yourself in just as "a Turker" and limiting your online income to mTurk is a really silly way to go about working online.

 

She's correct (..well, kinda/sorta.. most of her math sucks but the last sentence is true IMO), but not right.

 

Trying to figure out whats going on, so the last week or two I'm not catching things at the rate I was before. The odd thing is I used to average about 100 PRE's and hour, now I go the entire day without a PRE on Worker and only about 25 on www. I've checked all my settings and everything is the same as it once was. Has anyone else had this experience or possibly have any advice?

 

I find Mturk as a really weird job in the sense everyone runs around screaming what they make. I find it really bizarre because it doesn't usually work that way in any other job.

I believe that it's possible to make what he claims to make, so I don't concern myself with whether it's true or not. Even if he doesn't, someone else does.

Salespeople also brag about how much they make on the whiteboard.

 

It's definitely possible. You need to have technical skills, good luck (closed quals), and an above average work ethic. I dont believe it can be done if you spend all your time constantly screwing around on the board.
