12/28 - That Thursday!

I had this problem earlier and a reboot of my PC is all that fixed it (I was already using the worker link and had this problem).

 

FWIW the dashboard json kinda shows whats going on a bit:

PHP:

"earnings_to_date":{"approved":$$$,"bonuses":$,"total_earnings":$$$$},"current_balance":-$$$,"balance_by_end_of_last_year":-$$$,"balance_by_end_of_year_before_last":0.0}

So:

approved + bonuses = total_earnings [this math works just checked]

total_earnings - (SUM(balance_by_end_of_last_year + balance_by_end_of_year_before_last)) = earnings for YTD [approved unpaid + approved paid]

approved_unpaid = total_earnings - current_balance

Assuming? Not checking the math to make sure it adds up on the dash 'cause lazy lol.

 

We're talking about for the current year. On www it only listed past years

Too late for this year, but if you have a job where you get a W-2, increase your witholdings from that to help cover the taxes you have to pay on your turker earnings.

Unless you have any sort of debt. Using the extra money to make payments on something like a credit card at 20% is much better than letting the IRS hold your money for up to 16 months

There is no need to wait if you don't want to. Trust me when I say, they don't care if you are calculating the total based off of total earnings and subtracting previous years. They have it there for you to use. Some people have to estimate their earnings and make quarterly payments to the IRS, this is what they use. They only care if you are fabricating earnings, not if you are doing running calculations based on numbers you have every reason to believe are accurate. When Amazon and really the IRS stopped requiring requesters to send out 1099 forms, this is what everyone was left with. A printout of your earnings screen and whatever else you do to track earnings is the proof of income and they know that and are okay with it.

 

Just waiting on some kind person to return theirs.
